Launched in 2018, Yuvathi is a flagship initiative of the Butterfly Cancer Care Foundation dedicated to supporting women impacted by cancer—both as patients and caregivers.
When cancer touches a woman’s life, it often affects the entire family. As primary caregivers and emotional anchors, women hold families together; yet when they themselves are patients or caregivers, their own needs are often overlooked, and the family’s stability can be deeply affected.
Yuvathi was created to uplift and empower these women. Through pension support, skill development, and livelihood opportunities, the program helps restore financial stability and enables them to move forward with confidence, dignity, and renewed hope.
"Surviving cancer is not just about battling a disease. It's about harnessing the strength within to defy the odds. Women who conquer cancer are warriors and their stories inspire empowerment resilience and the unstoppable spirit of the human soul"
I am Raziya, a mother of two. Last year, I had cancer and a mastectomy, and at the same time, my husband couldn’t work after an accident. Life felt really hard. I used to make and sell homemade pathiris from home, but I couldn’t continue. Thanks to the Yuvathi Initiative, I received a dough kneader and a flat stone. Now, I’m back to making and selling pathiris, chapatis, and other dishes. This support has given me hope, confidence, and a way to provide for my family again.
